Happy Valentines Day!

New England Wolf Advocacy and Rescue Center
(NEWARC) wants to say “Thank you” to all the supporters that pitched in for the new Quad and Trailer in New Hampshire. Shots like the one above are made possible because the work-load has been lifted by your generous support. Thanks to you, our supporters, NEWARC has purchased a CanAm 1000 XT Outlander and a heavy duty trailer to transport, food, water, and staff around the facility in New Hampshire. Alex, a recently rescued wolfdog, and Justin, a new employee at NEWARC, take a minute in the snow after feeding.

Special thanks to Yolande Michaels, Anne Ramis, Susan Mullins, Antoinette Bil, Katie Mayfield, and Bill Lindsay for making this purchase possible on such short notice.

NEWARC supporters meet Ateme!  Ateme is an amazing resident and has decided to accept Tanner and Matthew into his “pack.”  When we first met Ateme he did not like all the staff entering his enclosure and was very standoffish except when it came to feeding.  Ateme’s heart has softened and he has become a playful pack member with both the four legged and the two legged.

The staff can now move freely in his enclosure and Ateme accepts belly rubs during playtime in the afternoon.  Help Ateme in 2014 click on the PayPal link below to give a $50.00 donation!

You can probably see why Ateme usually
wins all the 'stare down' contests.

Please join us in standing for wolves by telling Interior Secretary Sally Jewell and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Director Dan Ashe to withdraw the flawed plan to remove wolves from the list of endangered species! Sign the petition and save the wolves - PLEASE ACT NOW

Midnight is the featured wolf/wolfdog this month on NEWARC’s FaceBook page. Midnight is an adventurous spirit who remains somewhat aloof to the staff. Midnight has chosen Emerald as a BWF (best wolf friend) at NEWARC. Like many black-phase wolves/wolfdogs, Midnight has a fondness for salmon and organ meat and thanks to the Landfill Diversion program we can provide him with as much as he can eat without harming another animal in the process. Midnight loves the snow but as photographed above he is somewhat unsure of his footing on the ice. Give Midnight a little extra love on this Valentine's Day with a $50. donation!

We want to wish all of our supporters a
"Happy Valentines Day!" this February from all of the “woofers” at LARC and NEWARC.  Valentines Day is always a huge hit for our residents who receive meat popsicles in California and a hot meal mash in New Hampshire. It’s a great excuse to pair up and all of our residents’ would love a new sponsor in 2014. Give a Valentines Day treat! Only $10. Gives 4 treats!

Communication at NEWARC is vital and was a tough solution to find but with the help of Skyya Communications (www.skyya.com) a solution was born. All staff members have been outfitted with state of the art Cobra walkie talkies that allow for communication throughout the 70 acre facility in New Hampshire and Maine.

Due to the remote nature of the site cell phones are unreliable and a land line does not exist so it is fair to say that all communication at NEWARC travels through the air with Cobra Walkie Talkies. Shayna Chapel (shayna@skyya.com) customized a solution that fit our needs and then DONATED all the equipment to our staff and residents at NEWARC.

Please support our amazing benefactor by calling her next time you need a communication solution.

All donations are tax-deductible and the wolves and Veterans need your support. ANY AMOUNT HELPS! Click on the Paypal link or may also mail your donations to:
