Ateme, a wolf recently rescued by NEWARC, is an amazing resident. Ateme is a dominant alpha-male who has been waiting for the New Hampshire winter. His coat provides him the perfect insulation and since the temperature has dropped he has become more active.

Ateme likes to be hand-fed by Tanner, our facility manager, and enjoys his moments with him in the enclosure. He has a female companion but after years at the facility he seems to be drawn to human companionship.

Ateme has not agreed to walks around the sanctuary yet, but he will accept back and belly rubs from the staff.
